STUDENTS DO NOT NEED TO BE IN CLOSE UP TO ATTEND
This July 8-11 in Washington, D.C., Close Up and its partners are hosting NextGen Roundtable: Decision 2026, a large-scale deliberative gathering of 400 young Americans from all 50 states. We are inviting your students to submit their names for a chance to participate: to deliberate the issues shaping the midterm elections with their peers—at no cost to them!
STUDENT SIGN-UP: https://www.closeup.org/nextgen-roundtable-decision-2026-participant-sign-up/?_cldee=owmBuQdCkhnhWotxKyA1oaljjTnMZP5ltT41bwyweCaikPXXzP1HVX4W3jnVC740&recipientid=lead-fa20fedc59edea11a817000d3a31c841-55fe41ae9e1e4c81a8567f08ecebe924&esid=8887694f-d3ec-f011-8543-000d3a59ecad
This exciting program, hosted by Close Up, the Stanford University Deliberative Democracy Lab, Generation Lab, and the Hoover Institution’s Center for Revitalizing American Institutions, will convene a nationally representative sample of first-time voters to deliberate key policy issues, listen to other perspectives, and share their priorities in an impact report published nationwide. There is no cost to participate, as all expenses are covered by philanthropic support.

Even if your students will not be first-time voters this year, we still encourage them to submit their names. All students aged 14-20 will have the opportunity to share their voices in our nationwide youth survey and take part in other deliberative events and webinars.
