According to the Minnesota Community Education Association, statewide Community Education serves 1.7 million school age youth, nearly 300,000 children age 0 to 4, and over 900,000 adults each year. Community Education began in Minnesota with legislation in 1971. The purpose was to make the maximum use of the public schools by the community.
The purpose of Waubun– Ogema-White Earth Community Schools (WOWE) Community Education is to promote learning by offering educational, social, and recreational opportunities for everyone.
Interested in being a Community Ed Instructor? You do not need a degree to teach Community Ed courses--just a willingness to share your expertise about something you enjoy!

Waubun Ogema White Earth Community Education is now accepting registration for the 2022 Summer Rec Program. The program will run 7:45AM-2:30PM, Monday-Thursday from June 6th through June 30th. Breakfast, lunch and transportation (stopping at certain will be provided. Please return registration forms by May 20th
COST: $50 first child and each additional child $25
Current grade (2021-2022) school year should be used when enrolling students. Students must have completed Kindergarten to attend Summer Rec.
