Congratulations to our November Seven Grandfather Teachings Award Winners for Waubun, gwayakwaadiziwin- Honesty To live correctly and with virtue. Commonly referred to as Honesty.
Gwayak = correctly, straightly, and rightly
Aadizi = he/she lives
Win = a way it is done
Honesty means being truthful in your words and actions, being genuine with yourself and others, and speaking from the heart. This teaching is symbolized by the Sabe, or Sasquatch, and also involves refusing to lie or gossip and staying true to one's values. It is an integral part of integrity and is supported by the other teachings, especially truth and bravery.
Facing a situation is to be brave, but having the courage to not only do the right thing, but also saying it, is honesty.

We are so grateful for all our students and families! In the month of November, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Haverkamp read "A Little Spot of Thanksgiving" to every classroom. Each student filled out a leaf for all the things they are thankful for and added it to our Thankful Tree! We also celebrated many Tbird Ticket winners. Finally, our school earned a Slumber Party for filling up the Tbird Ticket Tower. What a fun month! Happy Thanksgiving!
