🌲 Highlights from the Outdoor Experience at the School Forest 🌨️
We are thrilled to share the success of our recent Outdoor Experience with 1st-grade students at the School Forest! Despite the snowy weather, the day was buzzing with excitement as students engaged in activities that blended fun with learning:
✨ Get-in-the-Moment Activity - Encouraged mindfulness and awareness of nature, helping students connect with their environment.
✨ Fort-Building - Fostered teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity while working together to construct sturdy forts.
✨ Snow Painting - Nurtured artistic expression while exploring the unique properties of snow.
✨ Obstacle Course - Challenged students’ balance, coordination, and perseverance as they navigated a fun and engaging course.
✨ Kitchen Area - Sparked imaginative play and social collaboration as students “cooked” with natural materials.
✨ Science Experiments with Ice and Snow - Introduced hands-on lessons in physical science, exploring properties like freezing, melting, and texture.
These activities go beyond play—they build critical thinking, collaboration, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world. Outdoor experiences like this inspire curiosity and lifelong learning while creating lasting memories for our students.
🌟 A big thank you to everyone who helped make this day so special!
