Congratulations to our 2025 POWWOW Royalty. Maize McArthur, Milo McArthur, Carl Wadenah, and Deja Jackson. The JR and SR Princess and Brave will represent WOWE school district at varies powwows and events throughout the year. Powwow Princess and Brave have duties that go beyond simply dancing and representing their tribe or community. They act as ambassadors, mentors, and role models, upholding the values of respect, tradition, and good behavior. All the participants did an amazing job and should be proud of themselves.
🎉 Tbird Ticket Tower Success! 🎉
Ogema Elementary students did it—they filled the Tbird Ticket Tower all the way to the top and earned an exciting reward! As a special treat, Dazzling Dave the Yo-Yo Master visited our school and wowed everyone with his amazing yo-yo tricks. Students had a blast learning about the art of yo-yoing while laughing and cheering throughout the show.
A huge thank you to Dazzling Dave for such an entertaining and inspiring performance! 💫 He’ll be performing in our area this summer—keep your eyes peeled for a chance to see him in action again!

🌲 Kick Start School Forest Outdoor Experiences 🌿
What an incredible year it’s been! Our journey into outdoor learning through the Kick Start School Forest Stations has been nothing short of magical. From the first curious steps into the woods to wide-eyed discoveries in every season, our littlest learners have grown in ways that only nature can inspire.

Throughout the year, students explored, questioned, played, and connected deeply with the natural world. Outdoor learning sparked their imagination, strengthened their physical health, and fostered emotional well-being. The forest became more than just a classroom — it became a space for wonder, resilience, and joyful learning.
🌱 Why Nature Matters
In a world that’s increasingly fast-paced and digital, giving children the chance to slow down and be in nature is a gift. It teaches them to care for living things, to notice the small details, and to find peace in the rustle of leaves and the songs of birds. These early connections build a lifelong appreciation and respect for the environment.

This amazing group of students represented Ogema Elementary in the Unified Sports Competition! They participated in numerous track and field events. Each student showed their Thunderbird PRIDE and excellent sportsmanship! Congratulations to all these Thunderbird athletes. We are so proud of you!
Congratulations to the Ogema Earth Day coloring contest winners!! One winner was chosen from each class. They earned a popsicle party and some extra outdoor time with a friend. Special thanks to Ogema Mayor, Laure Zima, for being the judge.

One week from today is our Senior Banquet. ALL SENIORS and their parents/guardians are invited to attend for a great meal, gifts, and much more! Awards/Scholarship night to follow at 6:00pm.
There is still time to sign up for the Indian Education Cultural Camp in June. Open to all students in grades 6-8. Program is free of charge. All students have received registration forms and information to take home. Don't pass up this great opportunity (fishing, field trips, sports, and so much culture!)
Indian Education will hold after school tutoring this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. NO Culture activities, just homework help. All students in grades 4-12: If you need help finishing up your homework or preparing for tests this is your chance to get the extra help to finish the school year strong!!
