WHS will be holding a mock election on Election Day: Nov. 5th. The goal is to get students excited about voting in a nonpartisan way and encourage civic skills for students.

🌲 Exciting News from the School Forest! 🌲
The Kick Start kids have already explored the school forest twice, and we’re thrilled that they will be regular visitors! Here are a few highlights from their adventures so far:
• Outdoor Fun: The students loved the outdoor playground and kitchen, learning about nature through active play.
• Engaging Activities: From building forts to using tools, the kids teamed up to create, sparking their imaginations and teamwork.
• Mindfulness Moments: During the “Get in the Moment” activity, students paused to appreciate the beauty of their surroundings, deepening their connection to nature.
We also kicked off our first Family Night with a glowing night hike! Families checked out the exciting changes happening in the forest, enjoyed games, and ended the night with hot chocolate and s’mores around the campfire.
Starting this week, all grades from Kick Start through 6th grade will be joining us at the forest to dive into hands-on learning with our amazing Culture Teachers. Through interactive stations, students will explore literacy, math, and the cultural history of the Three Sisters Garden.
A big thank you to the WOWE Cultural Program, Larry Hoban (Ma & Pa’s Roadside Market), Heather Heisler with the White Earth Public Health Tribal SHIP grant, and the WETCC Extension Program for their incredible support and donations!
Stay tuned for more adventures at the School Forest! 🌱
