Strengthen My Nation - Challenge Programs
The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) in partnership with the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board (NPAIHB), through the We R Native program is hosting two challenge competitions to recognize the inherent strengths and resiliencies of Indigenous people and culture that foster healthy communities and protect against substance use. The challenges ask youth with knowledge of American Indian and/or Alaska Native culture (ages 14 – 25) to share their ideas about resilience and how it can combat substance use.

We are ready for school to start and are excited to have all our students back! We begin our 2021-
2022 school year with new parking lots in Waubun and Ogema! We would like to
share how the drop/pick up flow of traffic and parking is planned.

Football Announcements:
Due to inclement weather, there will be no elementary or junior high football practice today.
Junior high football will practice at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Bussing will be provided.

Parking is limited at the Ogema site for the open house tonight as parking lot construction is still in progress.
Parent parking is available in the parent lot right next to the front entrance, on the highway, and on side streets.
Please use caution. We are very near parking lot completion.

Here are the changes in practices and bussing for the week of 8/30-9/2
On Monday (8/30), Wednesday (9/1), and Thursday (9/2), practice times will be 3:20 for JH football and volleyball. Bussing times will be as follows on those days:
Pickup:
Bones - 2:15
White Earth - 2:30
Ogema - 2:45
Waubun - 3:00
After practice:
Mahnomen - 5:30
Waubun - 5:45
Ogema - 5:55
White Earth- 6:05
Bones- 6:15
On Tuesday (8/31), practices and bus times will be the same as they were previously. Practice will be from 6:15-8:15 with the following bus times:
