Presentation of Annual Needs Assessment and Indian Policies and Procedures.
Overview of the Title I, II, & VI, Johnson O’Malley, American Indian Education Aid and Impact Aid.
Seek comments and recommendations regarding the programs.

Isabella was chosen as student of the month. Her teacher, Mrs. Jorud says, “This selfless student is always paying attention to what is going on around her, which allows her to appreciate the people in her life and even the smallest of gestures. She says thank-you throughout the day, and others follow her lead, making her a great role model. In the classroom, Isabella makes respectful choices and practices kindness on a daily basis. She brings calmness to the classroom, even during the most exciting of times, and is always ready to lend a helping hand!”
Isabella’s favorite part of school is specials, especially art. She loved making the leprechaun. At home, Isabella likes to read, watch tv, and draw. Isabella is most thankful for my mom because she is nice, keeps the house clean, and makes great meals. In the summer, Isabella likes to jump on the trampoline and make art outside.
You are so awesome, Isabella!! Keep up the great work!


James was chosen for student of the month! His teacher, Mr. Lenzen says, “We would like to take this opportunity to commend James for outstanding academic achievement and displaying all areas of Ogema PRIDE. James is looked up to by his peers, they look to him for both direction and positive choices. James always shows his teachers positive choices and respect. Students like James make our work as educators so very enjoyable and we need to say, Chii Miigwech!”
James’ favorite part of school is going outside to play tag and hide & seek with his friends. He loves to eat crispitos at lunchtime! James is most thankful for being able to go to school. At home, James likes to play outside with his dog, Cocoa. In the summer, James likes to swim and play outside.
Way to go, James! You are such a great kid!


Jaliyah was chosen as student of the month! Her teacher, Mrs. Skersick says, “Jaliyah is a very caring and helpful student to everyone around her. She always comes into the classroom every morning greeting all her friends and teachers. She has been doing an outstanding job of getting all her assignments completed and turned in on time. She is a very good friend and always willing to share and help others out. Jaliyah is a hard worker and always willing to ask for help when she needs it. I am so grateful to have Jaliyah as part of my class this year. Keep up the amazing work Jaliyah and keep being that outstanding student.”
Jaliyah’s favorite part of school is math because she loves multiplication. Her favorite problems are x7 ones. Jaliyah is most thankful for her mom. She is nice, takes care of her, and plays outside with her. Jaliyah loves to do flashcards at home. In the summer, she loves to go swimming and play with her friends.

Adrian was chosen as Student of the Month! His teacher, Miss Stalberger says, “Adrian works incredibly hard to get all of his work done promptly, then he checks with his peers to see if anyone needs help! He’s a great listener, is kind to others, and takes pride in his learning. Adrian never shies away from a challenge, no matter how hard it might be! Keep up the great work!”
Adrian’s favorite part of school is playtime. He likes to play something different every day. At home, Adrian likes to playing with his stepsister. They like to play tag. At his dads house, he loves to play and hold his baby brother. In the summer, Adrian likes to play outside with his cousins!

Ariel was chosen for student of the month! Her teacher, Miss Ring says, “We would like to take this opportunity to commend Ariel for outstanding academic achievement and mature classroom behavior. Ariel is such a wonderful 1st grader! She takes her time with all of her school work and always goes above and beyond what is expected. She truly loves school and I appreciate her love for learning. She is a true role model for others and she has such a contagious smile that can make anyone's day! She is kind, respectful, compassionate, always has a positive attitude, is an awesome friend to everyone, and always shows her Ogema PRIDE! Congratulations, Ariel! I am so proud and thankful to have you in my class this year!”
Ariel’s favorite part of school is recess. She likes to go on the spin-omi. She also loves when her class has parties, especially pajama, popcorn, and movie party day. At home, she likes to watch Hannah Montana on tv. Ariel enjoyed going to Disney with her family. She likes chasing the lizards and swimming in the pool the most!
Great job, Ariel!! We are so proud of you!

Baseball game is postponed and rescheduled for May 4th. No baseball practice tonight, bundle up we'll be outside tomorrow.

CONGRATS to the Lady Thunderbird softball team for winning 2 out of 3 games on Saturday, the girls beat Pine River 11-6 and Staples-Motley 21-1 before dropping the last game to Sebeka. Great job T'Birds!!

Lets recognize Cayce for March Student of the month in Miss. Hause's Class!!!


Todd's name was randomly drawn at the school assembly. For his prize, he chose to have game time with Mrs. Haverkamp. They played 'garbage' together. Todd, you are an awesome kid!!

SOFTBALL...There will be a quick batting practice in the cage today for varsity players.- no jr hi practice today ~ Varsity quadrangular in Frazee tomorrow, bus leaves Waubun at 9:15...Game one starts at 11:00 am on field number 3.
