Lets just say, its not to late to talk about skiing in April when you live in Minnesota,
Mrs. Haugo's second graders had a blast out at the school forest learning about Cross Country Skiing and have great advice.

Griffin was chosen as student of the month! His teacher, Miss Ring says, "I chose Griffin as my March Student of the Month because he is full of joy and he is wonderful in every way! He is outgoing, smart, creative, hard working, funny, and loving. He loves being silly and making everyone laugh! He also has a very contagious laugh and smile that can brighten anyone's day! Griffin is passionate about school, he actively participates in class, he loves learning new things, he is a great friend to all, and he works hard to complete all of his work. He has an amazing imagination and it is so awesome to see all of the creations/games he comes up with at play time with his friends! I am so grateful to have you in our class! Keep shining your light and being you! Congratulations, Griffin!"
Griffin’s favorite part of Kindergarten is watching movies, play time, and going to specials. His favorite book is “Crocodile vs Python.” At home, Griffin likes to play with his alien creations. His favorite food is french fries! Griffin has an amazing trick: he can twirl in a full circle on just one foot!

To wrap up this unit, each first grader chose an animal from the rainforest and completed a research report about that animal. They then worked with their families to create a model of their animal out of clay. Please enjoy the video of our first graders showing their model and telling you one thing they learned about their animal! Thank you to Mr. Peterson for helping to put together the video!
