Trevor was chosen as student of the month. His teacher, Mrs. Harstad says, “Trevor comes to school every day with a great attitude and is ready to learn. He shows his teachers and fellow classmates how to be respectful and to take responsibility for his learning. Trevor is a great role model for other students and is a pleasure to have in class.”
Trevor’s favorite memory in 3rd grade is going to steam class and playing legos. He is also super proud that he and Jase were always in the same class the whole time in Ogema. At home, Trevor likes to play outside and learn about animals. When he is inside, he likes to cook with his mom and dad. Trevor likes to read Marvel books and learn about the characters. His favorite is Thor! Trevor’s favorite food is pizza.

Josh was chosen as student of the month. His teacher, Mrs. Harstad says, “Josh is a very respectful and kind student. He is always willing to help another student whenever he can. Josh’s favorite 3rd grade memory is playing football with his friends. His favorite position is quarterback and he hopes one day to be the starting Thunderbird quarterback! In the classroom, Josh enjoys drawing pictures during Fun Friday time. At home, Josh likes to sing pow wow music, drum, and practice his dancing. Josh enjoys mowing the lawn at his house, too. His favorite food is Merry’s sloppy joes. Josh can do front and back flips on the trampoline! Cool trick!

Serenity was chosen as student of the month! Her teacher, Mrs. Skersick says, “Serenity is a very sweet and respectful student. She always treats everyone with kindness and has outstanding manners. She does an amazing job cleaning up after herself and is a very hard worker. When it is time to start working on assignments, she does not waste time and starts right away. When we transition from subjects or specials she quickly gets her supplies and ready to listen to what she is supposed to do next. I am so happy to have Serenity as part of my class this year. She is a delightful and caring student. Keep up the amazing work Serenity and keep being that amazing student and person you are.”
Serenity’s favorite 3rd grade memory is getting to know Mrs. Champa and Mr. Kemper better. She thinks Mrs. Champa is very nice and Mr. Kemper is funny. She likes the music he plays! Serenity likes to read Judy Moody books. At home, she likes to play Fortnite and create art projects. She enjoys painting and drawing. Serenity mostly likes to draw cats in space and her family.

Airalyn was chosen as student of the month. Her teacher, Mrs. Jorud says, “Airalyn was chosen for student of the month by her classmates! She is such a delight to have in class. She is a student who wastes no time! Airalyn comes into class, gets busy working on her assignments, participates in class, & follows instructions. On top of being a great student, Airalyn is also a great person. She is friendly, kind, & always smiling. She often volunteers to help out in the classroom. Airalyn is a student who exhibits the characteristics of PRIDE each day. As a result, her classmates see her as a leader & someone they can count on. Keep it up Airalyn!”
Airalyn’s best 3rd grade memory is when they did a hot cocoa bar. They got to pick their own toppings. Airalyn used mint chocolate, caramel, m&ms, whip cream, marshmallows, and regular chocolate! Yummy! At home, she likes to draw, color, and read. Airalyn likes to read the Captain Underpants books. She can do a front and side flip on the trampoline.

Norah was chosen as student of the month! Her teacher, Mrs. Oertwich says, “Norah is such a hard-worker and fantastic friend. Norah has made so much progress this year. She is an absolute rockstar in math class but is so humble at the same time. Norah has a very giving heart and goes out of her way to make sure everyone is included and noticed. She knows how to buckle down and focus on her work but also loves to laugh and play. Norah is an absolute joy to have in class. Keep up the great work, Norah! I am so proud of you!”
Norah’s favorite 2nd grade memory is going on the field trip, especially swimming and playing at The Big Backyard. She also liked using the smartboard. Norah likes to read Babysitter’s Club books. Her favorite foods are her grandma’s alfredo and her mom’s spaghetti. At home, Norah likes to play Kindle and Barbies. She can do a front flip with no hands on the trampoline!

Garner was chosen as student of the month! His teacher, Miss Steffens says, “Garner is a very caring student and definitely shows Thunderbird Pride! He is always listening and showing he is learning. Garner is kind and respectful to others and gives gentle reminders when it is needed. He is a great role model in our classroom and to others.”
Garner’s favorite second grade memory is running in gym class. He says Mr. Kemper makes them run a lot! In the classroom, Garner likes math class; adding and subtracting numbers. At home, he likes to play war with his brother. Garner’s favorite food is pretzels dipped in cheese. Captain Underpants is his favorite book series!

Makia was chosen for student of the month. Her teacher, Mrs. Brininger says, “I chose Makia as student of the month because she consistently displays Thunderbird PRIDE throughout the day! She participates in classroom activities with a huge smile on her face and she is kind to her classmates and respectful to her teachers. She works hard on her assignments and gives 100% on the extra job opportunities during morning rotations. She is quick to help others in need and is a joy to have in class!”
Makia’s favorite memory of kindergarten is doing math problems and her favorite number is 10. She loves to play ‘house’ with her friends during playtime. Makia’s favorite thing to read about is space. She loves to look at the stars at night, especially when she sees shooting stars. At home, Makia likes to play with cars with her baby brothers. Her favorite food is mac and cheese.
