Arianna was chosen as student of the month. Her teacher, Mrs. Peterson says, “Arianna always comes to school with a smile on her face and greets everyone she meets. She is always helpful and I know I can count on her whenever I need extra hands in the classroom! She is a good friend to all of her classmates. Arianna works hard on every assignment and challenge set in front of her and she never gives up! She has made good gains this year and is excited about learning everyday. Arianna shows her PRIDE and encourages others to do the same. I am so proud of you, Arianna!”
Arianna’s favorite first grade memory is doing math and learning about money. She also loved the project when she got to make a monkey. At home, Arianna likes to play volleyball with her sister. She says she is the better volleyball player! Arianna likes to read books about dogs. Her favorite food is her mom’s sloppy joes.
Amazing job, Arianna!! You are simply fantastic!
Nahlah was chosen as student of the month! Her teacher, Mrs. Moore says, “Nahlah has been working incredibly hard on her academics this year and has made huge gains, especially in reading! She is quick to offer help to others when needed and keeps a positive attitude each and every day! Nahlah is an all around great kid and I’m so happy to have her in our class this year!”
Nahlah’s favorite first grade memory is having caterpillars in the classroom. She shared that Fat Bob is almost ready to come out of his chrysalis. Nahlah liked to work hard at her math to get better at it. At home, Nahlah likes to watch movies or play on her phone. Her favorite movie is How to Train a Dragon. Nahlah’s favorite food is sherbert!

Carter was chosen as student of the month! His teacher, Mrs. Bement says, “I would like to nominate Carter for student of the month because he shows respect to his teachers and peers. He is hardworking and always makes sure that he stays focused on his work which helps him turn in his assignments in a timely manner. Carter always remembers to raise his hand when he has a comment or question and is a good listener when others are speaking. Carter always has a positive attitude in school and I have never heard him complain one time about his school work. As a teacher, I appreciate these characteristics in students tremendously! Carter also shows respect by treating others with kindness and helping out when needed. He is a great example to peers and shows his Ogema PRIDE often! I appreciate everything that Carter brings to our classroom and I look forward to seeing what his future holds because I know his future is bright!”
Carter’s favorite 1st grade memory is taking the field trip. He loved the Big Backyard. In the classroom, he loved doing math tests. Carter likes to ride his dirt bike at home. He loves to read Pete the Cat books and animal books. HIs favorite animals are sheep because he loves the soft fleece. Carter’s favorite food to eat is a grouper fish. He caught them in the ocean on his vacation!
