Debwewin- Truth- Turtle
Truth gives us the ability to act without regret. We must understand, speak, and feel the truth, while also honoring its power. Truth should not lead us to deceptions. We know who we are in our heart. By knowing that, we also know the truth. Our emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual gifts will guide each one of us in our journey.
Truth is having the knowledge of our cultural teachings.
The turtle, who methodically walks the Earth as one of our eldest animals, reminds us of our teachings that proceed and survive all of time. Walk with these teachings; share these teachings from a true place of regard for their capacity to enrich our own lives and those who we encounter.

Alex was chosen for student of the month. His teacher, Mrs. Bement says, “I am choosing Alex as student of the month because of his work ethic. He always does what is expected of him, with no complaints, and has made great gains throughout this school year! I can always trust that Alex will come into the classroom each morning, ready to learn, and get right to his assignments. If Alex needs help on something, I appreciate the fact that he raises his hand to ask for help, as he truly wants to know the correct way to work out his assignments. On top of all of this, Alex is truly a sweet, kind-hearted boy who is a friend to all. I can partner him up with any other student to work on an assignment and I know the work will get done. I appreciate his kindness and I know it will take him far in life!”
Alex’s favorite part of school is playing semi trucks with his friends at recess. In the classroom, he likes when his teacher reads Magic Tree House books to the class. Alex likes to drive 4 wheeler, at home. He also likes to play Xbox. His favorite food is spaghetti. Alex likes to do magic tricks and can pull a rope from his hand. Another cool trick he can do is wheelies on his 4 wheeler. He says to “give it the beans” to pop a wheelie!
Awesome work, Alex!! You are a pretty cool kid!
