Waubun-Ogema-White Earth Schools

Our 3rd graders made the most of the beautiful spring weather this Thursday by taking their math lesson outdoors! With chalk in hand, students brought their learning to life by drawing shapes based on teacher directions, determining missing side lengths, and working collaboratively to find the perimeter of the shape right on the pavement. They proudly showed their thinking next to each shape, turning the sidewalk into a canvas of creativity and problem-solving.

To wrap up this joyful learning experience, students added a special touch by outlining their bodies and drawing big, happy faces to create a cheerful surprise for everyone walking to and from the buses. What a fun and memorable way to combine math, teamwork and a little sunshine! ☀️
