Reed Weber is my STAR student for the month. He does a great job following the expectations. He is also a great sportsman and often reminds others to remember the expectations so we can keep doing fun activities in our classroom! He works hard and helps others study when it is getting close to a test. Thank you, Reed!

🌲✨ 5th Grade Adventures at the School Forest! ✨🌲
5th graders had the opportunity to explore and learn at the school forest! Highlights included:
Mindfulness in Nature: Students connected with the outdoors and practiced being present in the moment.
Discovery Zone Fun: Students experimented with Fizzy Cubes, Frozen Bubbles, and Snowflake Crystals, and tested substances to melt ice.
Fort Building & Obstacle Course: Creativity and teamwork shone as they engineered their forts and navigated fun challenges.
Games & Ornament Crafting in the cozy Pine Room brought out their artistic sides.
We even had Jackie Haugo and Jill Troutner teach the students about cross-country skiing mixed with some fun sledding.
A HUGE thank you to all our amazing volunteers (Jill Troutner, Jackie Haugo, Ray Thorkiodson, Connie Soch, and Loree Hanson) who helped make this experience such a success! Your time and dedication created unforgettable memories for our students. 💚
We’re so grateful for a community that supports hands-on learning and outdoor fun! 🌟

January 6-11th Sports Activity Schedule

🚀 We’re kicking off our first full week of 2025 with energy, excitement, and a determination to make this year unforgettable! From the classroom to the playground, students and staff are ready to rock every moment until the last day of school. A quick reminder to parents/guardians our Elementary students go outside every day for recess unless the temperature drops below 0°F or the wind chill is -10°F or colder. It’s important for students to be dressed appropriately to keep them safe and comfortable during outdoor activities.
We also strongly recommend labeling your child’s clothing, as many students have similar items. This will help us easily identify and return lost items.

Meet Us Monday:
The 3rd Grade team is exceptionally hard working and creative. They create unique learning experiences for their students each day! Let's give a big "shout out" to this incredible group of teachers!

Congratulations to our December Seven Grandfather Teachings Award Winners: Respect is represented by the buffalo. The buffalo gives every part of his being to sustain the human way of living, not because he is of less value, but because he respects the balance and needs of others. To honor all creation is to have respect. Live honorably in teachings and in your actions towards all things. Do not waste and be mindful of the balance of all living things. Share and give away what you do not need. Treat others the way you would like to be treated. Do not be hurtful to yourself or others.
We demonstrate respect by realizing the value of all people and things, and by showing courteous consideration and appreciation. We must give respect if we wish to be respected. We honor the traditional roles that we fill and the teaching we have been given. We honor our families and others, as well as ourselves. We are not to bring harm to anyone or anything. Respect is not just an action, but a heart-grown feeling.
