Haylee was chosen for student of the month! Her teacher, Mrs. Brininger said, “I chose Haylee as student of the month because of her positive attitude, work ethic, and kindness to others. Haylee always has a smile on her face and enthusiastically participates in everything we do. She is focused during work times and puts 100% effort into her work. She is kind and sweet and always willing to help others. She is a joy to have in the classroom!”
Haylee’s favorite part of school is playing hide and seek outside. She also likes when her teacher teaches her new things like math. Haylee is most thankful for inside recess because she likes to play in the make believe kitchen. At home, Haylee likes to play with her baby brother. They chase each other. She likes to play on the swings too. Haylee’s favorite food is green beans!
Haylee, you are so special and fun! We love you at Ogema Elementary!

SOFTBALL.Congrats to the Thunderbird softball team on their 11-1 victory over Bagley yesterday in Waubun. The girls play LOW at 3:00 today in Fosston and East Polk at 5:00 also in Fosston.

Brianna was chosen as student of the month. Her teacher, Mrs. Haugo says, “Congratulations Brianna for working hard and showing respectful classroom behavior. She displays to her teachers and fellow classmate’s being kind and helpful. She is a quiet role model for her classmates. She is neat and organized. She keeps track of school supplies and assignments well. Brianna is both respectful and responsible and follows Thunderbird P.R.I.D.E. She completes her school work and puts in extra effort to do an excellent job. She is patient with raising her hand and taking turns. Bravo Brianna for making great strides in becoming a fabulous 2nd grader.”
Brianna’s favorite part of school is playing outside at recess. She likes to play 4-square. Brianna is most thankful for her grandma, Grace. Brianna loves when she makes spaghetti the most! At home, Brianna likes to jump on the trampoline and swim in the pool.

Trynity was chosen as Student of the Month. Her teacher, Mrs. Bement says, “Trynity was chosen because of her fun-loving attitude and joy that she adds to our classroom. She always has a positive attitude and does what is asked of her in a timely manner. I appreciate that she takes her time to make sure that her work is completed neatly and that she is kind to everyone. Trynity is a friend to all. Academically, Trynity shows fantastic expression when reading, works carefully and neatly, raises her hand when she needs something, and always gets her work turned in on time. It’s been a pleasure having her in class this year and I know that she has a bright future! Keep on working hard and being amazing Tryn! I can’t wait to see what your future has in store for you!”
Trynity’s favorite part of school is recess and playing on the playground. She also loves lunch, especially mashed potatoes and gravy. Trynity is most thankful for Mrs. Bement because she keeps them safe during fire drills. At home, Trynity likes to play in their garage, play cards, and tag. In the summer, Trynity likes to go swimming and hiking!

Jase was chosen as student of the month! His teacher, Mrs. Oertwich says, “Jase was chosen as student of the month because he is responsible and completes all of his assignments! He is kind, helpful, and shows respect to everyone. He goes out of his way to make sure everyone is included. Jase loves to visit anyone and talk about farming. He works hard and has a positive attitude 100 percent of the time!! Jase, I am so proud of you and happy to have you as a part of our class!”
Jase’s favorite part of school is running around at recess. He likes to play any game with his friends. Jase is most thankful for his cousin, Eli, because he is fun to play with. At home, Jase likes to play Clash of Clans. He likes to play outside, run around, and go to the lake.


Reed was chosen for student of the month! His teacher, Mrs. Erickson says, “I chose Reed as Student of the Month for March. Reed is such a wonderful, silly, kind, respectful student. He has worked so hard this month, truly showing his best in everything he does. He can be found encouraging his friends to do their best as well. He always has a positive attitude, and an "I can do it!" mentality. He also shows respect by participating and raising his hand to answer questions, listening to his teachers, and following the directions. Congratulations, Reed! You are such a shining star in our class, and I am so lucky and proud to have you as a part of our class! Keep up the hard work!”
Reed’s favorite part of school is gym. He loves to see Mr. Kemper and play games. Reed is most thankful for his friend, Carter. They like to play tag together. At home, Reed likes to watch tv, play outside, and jump on the trampoline. In the summer, Reed likes to go to his grandma’s house because he gets to eat lots of candy!
Reed, you are an amazing boy!!


Tracy was chosen as student of the month! Her teacher, Mrs. Johnson says, “Tracy is a kind and caring student. She goes above and beyond to help others and make them feel welcome. Tracy uses her Thunderbird Pride in every aspect of school. Her respect for other students and adults is amazing. Tracy tries her hardest with her work and has a "Never Give Up" attitude. I am a very lucky teacher to have Tracy in my room!”
Tracy’s favorite part of school is learning math, especially measurement. She loves to see her friends at school. Tracy is most thankful for Mrs. Johnson. She has a beautiful talking voice. At home, Tracy likes to play games and play outside with her cousins!

Student Council officer elections for the next year will be taking place in a couple of weeks. The offices of President, Vice Pres., Secretary, and Treasurer. If you are interested, talk to Ms. Bauck this week. In order to run for an office, you need to have one year of student council experience or a year as a class officer. Anyone will be welcome to join student council next fall.

Isabella was chosen as student of the month. Her teacher, Mrs. Jorud says, “This selfless student is always paying attention to what is going on around her, which allows her to appreciate the people in her life and even the smallest of gestures. She says thank-you throughout the day, and others follow her lead, making her a great role model. In the classroom, Isabella makes respectful choices and practices kindness on a daily basis. She brings calmness to the classroom, even during the most exciting of times, and is always ready to lend a helping hand!”
Isabella’s favorite part of school is specials, especially art. She loved making the leprechaun. At home, Isabella likes to read, watch tv, and draw. Isabella is most thankful for my mom because she is nice, keeps the house clean, and makes great meals. In the summer, Isabella likes to jump on the trampoline and make art outside.

James was chosen for student of the month! His teacher, Mr. Lenzen says, “We would like to take this opportunity to commend James for outstanding academic achievement and displaying all areas of Ogema PRIDE. James is looked up to by his peers, they look to him for both direction and positive choices. James always shows his teachers positive choices and respect. Students like James make our work as educators so very enjoyable and we need to say, Chii Miigwech!”
James’ favorite part of school is going outside to play tag and hide & seek with his friends. He loves to eat crispitos at lunchtime! James is most thankful for being able to go to school. At home, James likes to play outside with his dog, Cocoa. In the summer, James likes to swim and play outside.

Jaliyah was chosen as student of the month! Her teacher, Mrs. Skersick says, “Jaliyah is a very caring and helpful student to everyone around her. She always comes into the classroom every morning greeting all her friends and teachers. She has been doing an outstanding job of getting all her assignments completed and turned in on time. She is a very good friend and always willing to share and help others out. Jaliyah is a hard worker and always willing to ask for help when she needs it. I am so grateful to have Jaliyah as part of my class this year. Keep up the amazing work Jaliyah and keep being that outstanding student.”
Jaliyah’s favorite part of school is math because she loves multiplication. Her favorite problems are x7 ones. Jaliyah is most thankful for her mom. She is nice, takes care of her, and plays outside with her. Jaliyah loves to do flashcards at home. In the summer, she loves to go swimming and play with her friends.
