Taleigha was chosen as a student of the month. Her teacher, Mrs. Johnson says, “I am very lucky to have Taleigha in my classroom. She has a kind and gentle soul and her smile is very contagious! Her willingness to never give up is outstanding. When it comes to Taleigha’s work she is always working to her highest potential. I can also always rely on Taleigha to help out with anything I ask her. Way to use your Thunderbird Pride Taleigha!” Taleigha’s favorite part of school is math. She loves to measure objects with a ruler. Taleigha also loves gym because she loves to play basketball. She is most thankful for her grandma because she is a good cook. Taleigha’s favorite is her tacos! At home, Taliegha likes to play on her tablet and play outside. Her highlight of second grade was to plant flowers in steam class. Wow, Taleigha!! You are so special!

Nolan puts 100% into his work, participates in everything we do in class, and does everything with a smile on his face. He is a wonderful kid and I am lucky to have him in my class!” Nolan’s favorite part of school is free choice time. He likes to play with the trucks and minecraft toys. Nolan is most thankful for his teacher because she taught Nolan his letters. Nolan’s highlight of kindergarten has been snack time when he gets to eat Cheeze-its. At home, Nolan’s like to play card games. Nolan, you are a fantastic kid!!! Keep being amazing!

The Mahnomen Swimming Pool will be offering small group lessons in June. Lessons will be Tuesday-Thursday June 1st-17th. Cost is $30 per participant, which is due by the 1st day of class. Each level is limited to 5 participants. Levels 1-4 are being offered at this time. Reminder for grades 6-11 - Football Cheer Team Tryouts - Tomorrow in Waubun from 3:30pm - 5:00pm. Please report to room 205 (Mrs. Pariso's Room) dressed in workout clothes, tennis (or cheer) shoes, and hair pulled back, out of face. Bring a writing utensil and leave phones in bags! This is a one day tryout. Announcement of the 2021-2022 Team will be announced May 27th.
