
Todd was chosen as student of the month. His teacher, Mrs. Oertwich says, “I chose Todd as May's student of the month because he is kind and considerate of others. Todd works very hard to complete all of his work. He never gives up! He goes out of his way to complement and support his classmates and teachers. He has a gentle, patient, and easy-going personality. Todd is always helping out and cleaning up the classroom. Todd is eager to learn and sets a great example for others! I am so lucky to have had you in my 2nd-grade class, Todd! Keep being you!”
Todd’s favorite part of school is playing with his friends. His highlight of 2nd grade was when his class made homemade pizza. Todd put cheese and pepperoni on his. He is most thankful for his teacher because she is the best teacher in the world. Todd loves how she teaches the class and is really nice. At home, Todd likes to play basketball outside.

Rain was chosen for student of the month. Her teacher, Mrs. Peterson says, “Rain has returned to school from distance learning and has given great effort in all of her work. She has made great progress to continue to improve all of her skills this year. She never complains! Rain is very polite and is a friend to everyone. She is the first one to help if something needs to be done in the classroom. I have enjoyed getting to know Rain this year and am so proud of how far she's come!”
Rain’s favorite part of school is playing on the spinomi at recess. She also likes to play color tag in gym class. Rain’s highlight of first grade is playing in the sand with her friends. She is most thankful for her teacher. Rain loves the games they get to play. At home, Rain likes to ride 4 wheeler. Her favorite food is lettuce and broccoli!!

Laurel was chosen for student of the month. Her teacher, Mrs. Skersicks says, “Laurel is a very caring and helpful student to anyone . She always comes into the classroom every morning greeting all her friends and teachers and offering her help. She has been doing an outstanding job of getting all her assignments completed and turned in on time. She is a very good friend and always willing to share and help others out whether it is in any subject or just someone to talk to . Before each special or at the end of the day she makes sure all chairs are stacked/ pushed in and all trash is picked up Laurel is a very hard worker and always looking for ways to challenge herself especially in reading.. I am so grateful to have Laurel as part of my class this year. Keep up the amazing work Laurel and keep being that outstanding student and person you are.”
Laurel’s favorite part of school is math because it is hard and extreme. Laurel’s highlight of 3rd grade is when she scraped her leg. She said she was tough and got up and started running again. Laurel is most thankful for her teacher because she loves to be in her class. At home, she likes to ride bike and eat spaghetti.

Colton’s favorite part of school is math because it is super challenging. His highlight of 3rd grade was the 1st day of school because he got to meet everyone in his class. Colton is most thankful for his teacher because she helps him learn. At home, Colton likes to read outside. His favorite book is the “I Survived” series.

Her teacher, Mr. Lenzen says, “We would like to take this opportunity to commend Aubree for outstanding academic achievement and displaying all areas of Ogema PRIDE. Aubree is looked up to by her peers, they look to Aubree for both educational guidance and positive choices. Aubree always shows teachers and staff respectfulness throughout the school building. Aubree’s favorite part of school was starting a new grade. She was anxious to know what 3rd grade was like. Her highlight of 3rd grade was having fun with her friends. She likes talking to them and playing. Aubree is most thankful for her parents. She says they give her what she needs for school. At home, she likes to play with her phone or play basketball outside.

Snowy was chosen for student of the month. Her teacher, Mrs. Peterson says, “Snowy works hard to complete all assignments and always shows her PRIDE. Snowy always has a smile on her face and a positive attitude through every challenge. She is always ready to learn! I love her enthusiasm to share in all of our activities and the creativity she shows in each of her lessons. I have enjoyed getting to know Snowy this year both through distance learning, and now in school. She is a wonderful and sweet girl!”
Snowy’s favorite part of school is learning about shapes. Her favorite shape is a cube. Snowy’s highlight of first grade is eating breakfast in the classroom. She says it is delicious food made by the chefs. Snowy is most thankful for her teacher, mom, and dad. She says they are the greatest people in the whole, wide world! At home, Snowy likes to play xbox with her sister.

Sericio was chosen for student of the month. His teacher, Miss Ring says, “Sericio was chosen for Student of the Month because he has worked so hard this month! He has a positive attitude, he always tries his very best, and he is very creative! He loves to share during our class discussions and he has made incredible gains in his academics! Sericio is an awesome friend and is very encouraging to everyone! He has been so fun to have in the classroom this year and I am very proud of him! Keep up the amazing work, Sericio! ”
Sericio’s favorite part of school is playing football and basketball with his friends. Sericio’s highlight of first grade is learning about butterflies and hatching them. He is most thankful for his best friend, Landon. They like to play basketball together. At home, Sericio likes to play video games.

Joseph was chosen for student of the month. His teacher, Mrs. Jorud says, “We would like to take this opportunity to commend Joseph Martinez for outstanding academic achievement and mature classroom behavior. Joseph has earned April student of the month. He has made amazing progress both academically and socially in the month of April. Joseph challenges himself to try new and tough things and doesn’t give up until he gets it. He has made great gains; especially in math, and eagerly shares his knowledge with his peers. Joseph also works extremely hard on social/emotional growth and is using his tools to work through the hard stuff! (Like MCA test frustration!) Students like Joseph make our work as educators so very enjoyable and we need to say, Chii Miigwech!”
Joseph’s favorite part of school is playing anything with his friends. They like to tell jokes together. Joseph’s highlight of 3rd grade is how well he has improved in math. He said he actually paid attention and worked hard to get better scores! Joe is most thankful for Mrs. Jorud, Mr, Kircher, Mrs. Haverkamp, Angie, and Kristi. He says they are nice to him and are funny! At home, Joe likes to play video games, talk to his cousin, and wrestling with his brother.

Jacie was chosen for student of the month. Her teacher, Mrs. Bement says, “Jacie was chosen because of her willingness to participate in class discussions and remembering to raise her hand in class. She also encourages others in a quiet manner and is an excellent example to her peers when it comes to following the rules. Jacie takes her time and doesn’t rush through her work, which in turn, allows her to always do her best on her assignments. Jacie is full of wonderful ideas and has a positive perspective in all that we do. She’s incredibly optimistic as she views all situations in a positive manner. We appreciate the enthusiasm and encouragement that she brings to our classroom each and every day!!! Keep on being you Jacie, you are a great friend to all!”
Jacie’s favorite part of school is snack break. She likes that she gets to eat, take her mask off, and watch a movie! Jacie’s highlight of 1st grade is all the good lunches, especially burgers. At home, Jacie likes to be lazy and watch tv. She says sometimes she runs around and jumps on the trampoline. Jacie is most thankful for her parents and grandma. She likes that they cook for her. She loves spaghetti and tacos!

McKinley's name was randomly drawn during the all-school assembly. For her prize, she chose to do a special art project with Miss Skersick. It is so fun to see the cool colors the kids choose!!! Great work, McKinley!

Aaron was chosen for student of the month. His teacher, Mrs. Erickson says, “I chose Aaron for Student of the Month for April. Aaron is a wonderful student! He is always thinking of others, making sure that they are OK when they are upset or hurt, or even sharing their "greatnesses" of what they have done well throughout the day with his teachers. He can be found caring for, and encouraging his classmates to do their best. Aaron has worked so hard this year at school, and has learned so much. I am so thankful to have Aaron in my class.
