This week in the School Forest: Sugar Bushing & Springtime! Our 3rd graders stepped into the woods this week for an unforgettable School Forest experience! Each group explored: • The process of Sugar Bushing • The signs and significance of springtime in nature • And practiced their “Notice and Wonder” skills to build curiosity, ask questions, and begin forming their own hypotheses Although one group had to brave a little rain, we’re proud to say the learning and wonder still bloomed! It was powerful to watch students connect so deeply with the natural world, showing curiosity, respect, and a sense of adventure. Thank you to all who helped make this experience meaningful—your support fosters the next generation of nature lovers and inquisitive learners!

Today’s classroom? The great outdoors! Kindergarten students explored the School Forest this week. They discovered how the Sun’s warmth brings life back to the forest, tested shade structures that they built, and investigated the difference between sun and shade using hands-on experiments. We love seeing curiosity come alive through hands-on science in nature. #SchoolForestAdventure #OutdoorLearning #SpringInTheForest #HandsOnScience #NatureBasedEducation

First graders enjoyed a 'Peep Day' today! They got to decorate headbands to wear, make predictions about what color/kind of peep they thought would hatch out of their eggs, and once they hatched they got to name it! Students also enjoyed using toothpicks and jellybeans to make a house for their peep! It was a fun and engaging way to spend our day as we move into Easter break!

Huge congratulations to these outstanding students who earned the R&J Broadcasting Good Student Award: Savannah Keezer, Brynn McArthur, Hudson McArthur, Nicholas Baker, Lexi Pazdernik, Cleighton Hoban, and Dakiya Smith! These students were honored for their hard work, character, and commitment to making a positive impact. During the banquet, Brooke Pond of Jacobson Body Shop was so inspired by one student’s story, she awarded an extra $250 scholarship to Dakiya Smith! Dakiya’s heartfelt interview moved Brooke — and reminded everyone why celebrating student success matters. Check out the full story from the Good Student Award Banquet here: https://rjbroadcasting.com/good-student-award-banquet-2/#page-content Way to go, students — you make your schools and communities proud!
