Congrats on the JH FB team on their victory over East/Ulen last night. The 8th grade finished their season 8-0 and the 7th grade finished 7-1. Excellent job gents.

Family Night: TONIGHT from 5-7pm. Elementary students bring your 3 sisters garden project squash to be weighted, prizes will be awarded! Also games, activities, Native books and a pumpkin giveaway. A small meal will be served from 5-6pm…. Children must be accompanied by an adult!

Thunderbird Athletics Update: We will no longer require masks at indoor athletic events. Our policy, effective immediately, now states that we strongly recommend the wearing of face masks at all indoor home athletic events.

Congratulations to the Junior High Volleyball players on their amazing season. 7th grade 11-1 and 8th grade 5-7!!! GO THUNDERBIRDS!!!

Olea was chosen for 3rd Grade Student of the Month. Her teacher, Mrs. Harstad says, “Olea is a kind and respectful young lady. She works hard and takes responsibility for her learning. She always has a smile on her face and is always ready to help anyone in need. She shows outstanding leadership and is a great role model for her classmates. She is a pleasure to have in class!”
Olea’s favorite part of school is math. She likes to learn about fractions. Olea also likes to read the Owl Diaries books. At home, Olea likes to play with her sisters. They like to jump on the trampoline. She can do a back and front handspring and a front flip on the tramp! Olea’s favorite food is tacos. Olea can do a cool horse trick. She sits on her knees on the saddle and puts her arms straight out. What a talent!

Elliana was chosen as 2nd grade student of the month. Her teacher, Mrs. Haugo says, “Elliana is such an inspiring student. She shows her Thunderbird PRIDE all around the school. She is a hard worker and completes all of her assignments. She contributes a lot to class discussions. She is respectful to all her classmates and teachers. She is a great role model. Elliana has a gentle spirit and is helpful to others. Keep up the great work Elliana! I am so proud of you!”
Elliana’s favorite part of school is math because she gets to learn about multiplication and arrays. She also likes going on the monkey bars at recess. At home, Elliana likes to fight with her dog, Rosie. She lays on the ground and Rosie tries to take her sock off. Elliana’s favorite book is all fiction stories. Her favorite food is when her uncle makes ribs for dinner.

Lydia was chosen as 1st Grade Student of the Month. Her teacher, Mrs. Bement says, “Lydia is always being a good example to others by listening, working quietly, and completing her work on time. Lydia strives to complete her work on time. Her work is always completed neatly. Whenever I look around the room Lydia is always doing exactly what is expected of her. She is always very proud of the work that she does and appreciates her love for learning!”
Lydia’s favorite part of school is math class. She loves to do the problems and use number lines to solve the problems. Lydia also likes to play on the swings and big slides at recess. Lydia’s favorite school meal is anything with meat, grapes, and chocolate milk! At home, Lydia likes to play outside with her dog, Niko.

Carter was chosen as 1st grade Student of the Month. His teacher, Mrs. Peterson says, “I am nominating Carter because he has started this school year with great energy and enthusiasm. He comes into our classroom each day with a positive attitude and is ready to learn. He gives everything his best effort and is a great example of PRIDE for each of his fellow classmates. He has a fun personality and a contagious smile. I look forward to getting to know Carter more as our first grade year goes on! He is responsible, positive, enthusiastic, and caring.”
Carter’s favorite part of school is playtime and recess. At playtime, Carter likes to play with playdoh. He likes to make animals and shapes. At recess, Carter likes to play on the slides and equipment. At home, Carter likes to play outside. He plays on the playground with his sister. They also like to play with Carter’s toys in his room. His favorite food is pink and chocolate ice cream.
