Socktober Update: 550 pairs of socks were donated! Thank you to all who participated. The winning grade was determined by the average number of socks per student. The sophomore class averaged 5 pairs of socks per student, so they are the winners! The 4th grade got second place with 3.7 pairs per student and a total of 220 socks! The 6th grade was 3rd place with 2.6 socks per student for a total of 170.

Jase was nominated for student of the month. His teacher, Mrs. Harstad says, “Jase is a very respectful student. He shows respect in the classroom by following directions, staying on task, and participating in lessons. Jase is kind to the other students in his classroom and to all other staff as well. He is a role model for all students, and he is a pleasure to have in class.”
Jase’s favorite part of school is running around at recess. He mostly likes to play catch with his friends. His favorite subject is math. At home, Jase likes to play football with his dad. He said his dad is teaching him how to be a better quarterback. Jase’s favorite football teams are the Vikings and the Thunderbirds. His favorite player is Adam Thielen. Jase really likes to ride horses with his aunt. HIs favorite horse is Lace. At his grandma and grandpa’s house, he likes to play with his cousin, Stephen.
Way to go, Jase!! You are so awesome!

Brennan was chosen as student of the month. His teacher, Mrs. Haugo says, “Brennen is doing an outstanding job of learning everything he can in 2nd grade. He actively contributes to classroom discussions. He is a positive role model for his fellow classmates. He always takes his education seriously. Brennen is very responsible and completes his school work on time and puts in extra effort to do an excellent job. Mr. Peterson, Enrichment Teacher said that Brennen is the model of what a 2nd grade student should be. Brennen is enjoyable to have in class. He is kind and thoughtful. Congratulations Brennen!”
Brennan’s favorite part of school is doing math and learning new things, especially borrowing in subtraction. Brennan said his sister, Niveah has taught him lots of cool things. He really likes reading chapter books and Dogman books. At home, Brennan likes to ride his bike and play video games. He likes to stand up on his bike and climb up steep hills. Brennan likes to jump on the trampoline with his littlest brother.
