The School Forest is looking for volunteers to help with trail maintenance, ski maintenance, helping groups with skis, and general help. If you are interested in learning more, please attend the Open House at the Waubun School Forest (2541 State Hwy 113) from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11th.


Mrs. Brininger's kindergartners made raccoons in art with Ms. Skersick! They read the story titled "The kissing Hand" and this project is inspired by the cute story!





Mrs. Bement's first graders had art with Ms. Skersick and did a directed drawing in which they created Frankenstein using oil pastels and markers!






Ms. Skersick's Jr. High art students have been working hard on their paper mache pumpkins for the upcoming contest! Staff in both Ogema and Waubun will vote on the best pumpkins for first, second and third place! The competition is steep!











Mrs. Erickson's kindergartners had art with Ms. Skersick today where they got to use chalk blending to create these fun pumpkins! We learned that yellow and red mix together to create orange!



Ms. Skersick's Jr. High art students have been working hard on their paper mache pumpkins for the upcoming contest! Staff in both Ogema and Waubun will vote on the best pumpkins for first, second and third place! The competition is steep!











Ms. Webber's third graders had art with Ms. Skersick and got to use oil pastels and watercolors to great a colorful lion!





Ms. Skersick's Art 1 students completed their mini pumpkin sculptures as a practice and introduction to ceramics! They've also finished sculpting their large pumpkin sculptures which will be voted on by staff for best pumpkin! There will be a first, second and third place winner!

There is no charge to attend the ECFE class. Classes are located in the ECFE addition at the Ogema Elementary School. All families with children ages 0-4/5 are welcome to come join us!

Today is National Custodian Appreciation Day! We want to give a shout out to our amazing custodial and maintenance staff here at Waubun Public Schools. These men and women work diligently to maintain a clean and safe environment for our students, staff, and families. THANK YOU!


Mark your calendars! Here are the dates for ECFE classes for October. The Waubun-Ogema-White Earth ECFE program is a separate class for children ages 0-4 and their parents/guardians. During each class, we have age-appropriate table activities, plus time to explore the other toys around the room. There is no charge to attend the ECFE class.
