The Kindergarten teachers want to thank all of the friends and family who sent postcards and letters on behalf of our runaway Gingerbread Man. We received cards from 30 states and 11 countries. We learned so much about the world! We received our last letter today letting us know that he has accepted Santa's invitation to stay and work in his North Pole Christmas kitchen. Thank you so much for helping make a little magic for our kids. ♡

We celebrated quarter 1 perfect attendance this week with root beer floats! The students really enjoyed the sweet treats!!

Miss Ueke's 4th grade pictures include a class picture from the Veteran's Day program, dissecting owl pellets for science, a class picture from the Holiday program and learning how to make Krumkake with Miss Ueke's mom, Kitty, who shared her Swedish heritage!

Mrs.Swoboda is very proud of her STAR Team. They have taught a couple guidance lessons to the 4th grade classrooms on conflict styles and the drama triangle. They will continue to teach guidance lessons to the younger grades throughout the school year.

A few door decorations at Ogema Elementary. Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays from our Caught Being Good Winners at Ogema Elementary!

In Kindergarten, we love science and pajama days!! Today we made Grinch toothpaste and retold The Polar Express using sequencing numbers and words. We continue to observe the life cycle of a pumpkin plant and hope to get vines and flowers in the new year. We are so smart and continue to get smarter! I can't express how amazing these kids are; our futures are bright! ♡

December is LOVE for the Grandfather Teachings.
Zaagi’idiwin (giving and receiving love)
If we act out of love for each other and ourselves in
everything we do, we are living the value of Zaagi'idiwin.
To work cooperatively and harmoniously with others
To show kindness and compassion
To demonstrate acceptance and the empowerment of others
To offer hope, encouragement and inspiration
Congratulations to all the recipients of this award!!!
