Students from Mrs. Bement's 1st grade classroom performed a Reader's Theatre adaptation titled 'Hickory Dickory Dock, or, Go, Mouse, Go!' The students are learning to use intonation and inflection when reading and did an excellent job switching up the pitch and volume for their specific lines in the play. Great job to everyone!!!

Alex was chosen for Student of the Month! His teacher, Mrs. Bendson says, “What a tremendous student and little human he is! When I made the Student of the Month announcement at our morning meeting, all of my kids pointed to Alex. They knew he would be chosen and what an excellent role model and leader he is in our classroom. Alex works so extremely hard. He has made progress in both reading and math and achieves at the top of my class. Still, Alex overachieves and does extra credit whenever given the opportunity. He works hard to participate in class activities and discussions. Alex carries our class conversations, always raising his hand first and always contributing insightful, relevant comments to add to discussions. Alex has a cheerful heart and positive attitude. He is kind and friendly and generous. Alex is well liked and has lots of friends. I can’t say enough about how much I enjoy having him in my class. Alex, you are a STAR STUDENT. You will do great things in your life. I am so proud of you and grateful I got to teach you and know you as a little human.” Alex’s favorite part of school is when he gets free choice time. He likes to play with the cash register and the fake money. Alex is most thankful for school because he likes to work, write, practice numbers and letters, and do fun stuff. Alex likes to play xbox, watch youtube, and play with Power Rangers at home. Alex can do front flips on the trampoline! Way to go, Alex!!! You are so amazing!
