We need to hear from YOU, the parents and caregivers of students in grades 6-12, about what is important.
Strong relationships between families and schools are key to student success. But typical activities such as parent teacher student organizations (PTSO), parent teacher conferences and open houses are not enough.

During the month of November, students in grades 6-12, invested 5 minutes a day writing in journals to develop thankfulness, mindfulness and positivity. The Gratitude Journals, are theirs to keep and to continue writing in at home.
If you look at what you have in life, you'll always have more. If you look at what you don't have in life, you will never have enough. - Oprah

Family engagement is the process used to build genuine relationships with families. Family engagement happens in the home, early childhood program, school, and community. It is a shared responsibility of all those who want children to succeed in school and in life. A true partnership honors a family's strengths and culture, mutual respect, and shared goals for the child.
Our Family Engagement Survey, will lay the groundwork for these partnerships. Please use the link below to take the survey:

Congratulations to our November Seven Grandfather Teachings Award Winners:
gwayakwaadiziwin- Honesty
Facing a situation is to be brave, but having the courage to not only do the right thing, but also saying it, is honesty.
We must allow truth to be our guide. We must first be honest with ourselves. This will allow us to be honest with others. We must give full value to both the efforts of our own and others. When we walk through life with integrity, it is then that we know honesty. Be truthful and trustworthy. We must also remember to accept and act on truths through straightforward and appropriate communication. Being truthful and trustworthy. Tell the truth. Be honest with yourself, recognize who and what you are. Accept and act on truths with straightforward and appropriate communication. Be honest in every action and provide good feelings in the heart. Do not be deceitful or use self-deception. Honesty keeps life simple.
