Rain was chosen as student of the month. Her teacher, Mrs. Johnson says, “Rain is a role model for other students in our classroom. She uses her Thunderbird Pride in every way. She tries her hardest at everything she does and she never gives up! Her smile is very contagious and is a friend to everyone. Rain also does a great job participating in our classroom. I am a very lucky teacher because I get to teach Rain!” Rain’s favorite part of school is going on the slides at recess. In the classroom, she likes to color pictures of mermaids. Rain has 3 dogs at home. She likes to play fetch with them. Her favorite thing to read about is unicorns. Rain’s favorite food is apples. She can do front flips on the trampoline! Fantastic job, Rain!!! Keep up the hard work!!

Annabelle was chosen for student of the month. Her teacher, Mrs. Haugo says, “Annabelle is such a fun part of our class. She is creative and likes to try new things. She is friendly and kind to her classmates. She is always pushing herself to excel and get better in all of her subjects. She tries to think of ways to be a better reader and mathematician. This also pushes her fellow 2nd graders to do more. Annabelle displays her Thunderbird PRIDE in all that she does! Great Job Annabelle! Keep up the great work!” Annabelle’s favorite part of school is going to music. She loves to sing every song. She says she has too many favorite songs to just pick one! Annabelle likes to play with her cat and play on her phone when she is at home. She likes when her kitty chases a little ball. Her favorite book is “Kitties Magic.” Annabelle’s favorite food is her Papa’s dumplings. Way to go, Annabelle! You deserve this!

The Varsity wrestlers will be traveling to Hillsboro on Saturday. The bus will leave Waubun at 6:20 AM and Mahnomen at 6:40 AM. Weigh-ins are at 8:00 AM. Jacie was chosen for student of the month. Her teacher, Mrs. Oertwich says, “She consistently shows her teachers and fellow classmates Thunderbird PRIDE. Jacie is such a hard worker and is a fantastic friend. She has really improved both her reading and math skills. She never gives up! She will play with anyone and everyone. Jacie also stands up for what is right and is always honest. Jacie is an absolute joy to have in class. Keep up the great work, Jacie! I am so proud of you!” Jacie’s favorite part of school is eating cheeze-its at snack break. She likes to play tag and make pictures on the wall at recess with snow. Her and her friends like to make happy and mad faces. At home, Jacie likes to sleep in. Her favorite meal at home is spaghetti. She has lots of dogs at home and she likes to play tag with her sister. Trynity was chosen as student of the month. Her teacher, Mrs. Steffens says, “Trynity may goof around and come up with stories that are fun to hear. But, when she is being serious, I know I can trust her to tell me the truth no matter whether it is about her or about someone else.” Trynity’s favorite thing at school is to play tag and reindeer. Her and her friends pretend like they are Santa’s reindeer. She likes to play prodigy on the computer. At home, Tryn likes to play pretend horses with her sisters. She likes to go on walks with her dog, too. Trynity is most excited for her brothers to be born. She can’t wait to play with them and snuggle them. Trynity says her mom makes the best fry bread tacos (even better than her grandmas!) Awesome work, Trynity!!

She is respectful, positive, kind, helpful, generous, and so patient!
