Congratulations to Cadence Clark for placing 2nd overall and to our Thunderbird girls golf team for placing 2nd as a team at the Sub-Section 8A South
golf meet at Headwaters Golf Club in Park Rapids. This qualifies them for the Section 8A tournament at Bemidji Town and Country Club on May 30th and 31st. Good luck lady golfers!
Our senior class stopped by Ogema and took a group picture with our Kick-Start students this morning!
Ogema Elementary is having a blast celebrating the last day of school with our 2023 Seniors walking through and giving high-fives followed by 3rd-graders who will move on to Waubun Elementary next year. We also enjoyed some fun games and awards.
It is always fun when our Seniors visit Ogema Elementary. The Seniors even joined in on the fun and played a few games. We would also like to give a huge shout-out to all the award winners. We had the Thunderbird Pride Award (voted on by classmates), the Excellent Attendance Award (missed 3 days or less), and the Perfect Attendance Award (missed no days). Thank you all for another wonderful school year and we can't wait to see what the 2023/2024 school year holds. Enjoy your summer!!
Carnival Field Day was so much fun in Ogema!! The specialist teachers had tattoos, plinko, and a wide variety of carnival games! The student won prizes and were also given special gifts. Thanks to PTSO for the snow cones and VPP Inc./ Nick and Justine Lerud for the donation of necklaces and buttons! A huge shout out to the specialist teachers and volunteers for making this day so memorable!!

Maddy is truly a miracle and Ogema Elementary loves her! Her amazing personality and beautiful smile has stolen our hearts.
Maddy was diagnosed with type 2 SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) at birth. SMA is a genetic disorder that often prevents children from walking, breathing on their own, or even holding their heads up. She came into this world with a lot on her shoulders! Maddy was treated with a gene therapy in September of 2019. After the treatment, she started thriving and currently still is, amazing us every day!
