February is "I Love to Read" Month! Throughout the month, students in Ogema have had D. E.A.R times where they Drop Everything and Read!
Ogema's favorite gym teacher, Mr. Kemper, celebrated his half birthday. We dressed up like him (many not pictured) to show our appreciation for the fun memories he creates with the kids! Thanks Mr. Kemper for all you do!!

Scan the QR code to pre-registration for Waubun-Ogema-White Earth Kick-Start for the 2023/2024 school year. Kick-Start is a School Readiness preschool program located in the Ogema Elementary School. Kick-Start is for children who will be entering Kindergarten the fall of 2024. Your child must be 4 years of age by September 1, 2023 to attend Kick-Start. There are three classrooms of Kick-Start, with an all day, five days a week schedule. A paper copy is also available in the District Newsletter. Senior Scholarship Night
Mrs. Erickson's Kindergarten class had such a fun day at Tamarac! We learned about the animals that hibernate and migrate, and how they walk including bounding, waddling, and walking. We played a fox/rabbit game and watched a short movie about nature in the theater at Tamarac. We also journaled and watched some animals including squirrels and birds. We even got to try out some binoculars!

We are looking for recipes! Please take a few moments to share with us a recipe or two that is a favorite in your home. You can send a picture of the recipe to familyfun@waubun.k12.mn.us or you could send a copy with your student to give to Britani in the High School office. Thank you so much for your help in creating a cookbook that will go home with students in grades 5th - 12th.
