Here is a glimpse of all of our wonderful contestants for the Princess and Brave Contest and the annual WOWE Powwow. WOWE Indian Education and all staff are very proud of all of you.
WOWE POWWOW wouldn't be so wonderful without the assistance of our student helpers. From setting up, prep work, and giveaway to cleaning up and leading by example these students are greatly appreciated for all of their hard work. Miigwech from the Indian Education staff.
Congratulations to our 2025 POWWOW Royalty. Maize McArthur, Milo McArthur, Carl Wadenah, and Deja Jackson. The JR and SR Princess and Brave will represent WOWE school district at varies powwows and events throughout the year. Powwow Princess and Brave have duties that go beyond simply dancing and representing their tribe or community. They act as ambassadors, mentors, and role models, upholding the values of respect, tradition, and good behavior. All the participants did an amazing job and should be proud of themselves.
🎉 Tbird Ticket Tower Success! 🎉
Ogema Elementary students did it—they filled the Tbird Ticket Tower all the way to the top and earned an exciting reward! As a special treat, Dazzling Dave the Yo-Yo Master visited our school and wowed everyone with his amazing yo-yo tricks. Students had a blast learning about the art of yo-yoing while laughing and cheering throughout the show.
A huge thank you to Dazzling Dave for such an entertaining and inspiring performance! 💫 He’ll be performing in our area this summer—keep your eyes peeled for a chance to see him in action again!

🌲 Kick Start School Forest Outdoor Experiences 🌿
What an incredible year it’s been! Our journey into outdoor learning through the Kick Start School Forest Stations has been nothing short of magical. From the first curious steps into the woods to wide-eyed discoveries in every season, our littlest learners have grown in ways that only nature can inspire.
🍁 The Power of Outdoor Learning
Throughout the year, students explored, questioned, played, and connected deeply with the natural world. Outdoor learning sparked their imagination, strengthened their physical health, and fostered emotional well-being. The forest became more than just a classroom — it became a space for wonder, resilience, and joyful learning.
🌱 Why Nature Matters
In a world that’s increasingly fast-paced and digital, giving children the chance to slow down and be in nature is a gift. It teaches them to care for living things, to notice the small details, and to find peace in the rustle of leaves and the songs of birds. These early connections build a lifelong appreciation and respect for the environment.

The School Forest Teachers want to extend our deepest thanks to every teacher, staff member, volunteer, and supporter who made this new adventure possible. Your enthusiasm, flexibility, and commitment helped bring this vision to life.
Seeing our young kiddos light up with curiosity, confidence, and joy as they explored the School Forest has filled my heart. Their laughter, muddy boots, and wonder-filled questions are beautiful reminders of why this work matters.

JH Girls Golf Meet in Ada today is CANCELED…no practice
This amazing group of students represented Ogema Elementary in the Unified Sports Competition! They participated in numerous track and field events. Each student showed their Thunderbird PRIDE and excellent sportsmanship! Congratulations to all these Thunderbird athletes. We are so proud of you!
Congratulations to the Ogema Earth Day coloring contest winners!! One winner was chosen from each class. They earned a popsicle party and some extra outdoor time with a friend. Special thanks to Ogema Mayor, Laure Zima, for being the judge.
