Hello, Thunderbird Community:
On the evening of Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 5:30-8:00, the Thunderbird Speech team will be hosting Speech Night, our annual Showcase and Fundraiser. Funds raised from this evening will be used to help send the entire Thunderbird Team to watch the MSHSL State Speech Tournament, including meals, transportation, and hotel accommodations, at the end of April.
Speech Night involves the following components:
A free-will donation Baked Potato Bar (including Baked Potatoes with all the fixings, salads, desserts, and beverage)
A Bake Sale with items donated by the speech families
A Silent Auction of donated items from families and the community
A public presentation of the speeches advancing to Subsection Competition
Team Awards

Scan the QR code to pre-register for Waubun-Ogema-White Earth Kick-Start for the 2023/2024 school year. Kick-Start is a School Readiness preschool program located in Ogema Elementary School. Kick-Start is for children who will be entering Kindergarten the fall of 2024. Your child must be 4 years of age by September 1, 2023 to attend Kick-Start. There are three classrooms of Kick-Start, with an all day, five days a week schedule. A paper copy is also available in the District Newsletter. 5th - 12th grade are looking for your recipes. Please send your favorite family recipes with your name to familyfun@waubun.k12.mn.us or send a copy of the recipe and drop it off in the High School office with Britani.
