Maddy is truly a miracle and Ogema Elementary loves her! Her amazing personality and beautiful smile has stolen our hearts.
Maddy was diagnosed with type 2 SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) at birth. SMA is a genetic disorder that often prevents children from walking, breathing on their own, or even holding their heads up. She came into this world with a lot on her shoulders! Maddy was treated with a gene therapy in September of 2019. After the treatment, she started thriving and currently still is, amazing us every day!

Congratulations WHS Class of 2023!!!
The Kick-Start Classes made the trip to Otter Cove Children's Museum in Fergus Falls for their end-of-the-year field trip. The students enjoyed different activities such as a fishing area with a cleaning station, kitchen, grocery store, vet office, sandbox, and an inside jungle gym just to name a few.
Just a reminder~ there is no Waubun after-school Get Busy program this week!
Ogema will have Monday and Tuesday after school- and district-wide No after school Wednesday and Thursday
